pointers to pain and grief, pleasure and joy.
The year of Anniversaries is black and white
marked out by square boxes,
flagged with ordinal numbers.
They serve as a reminder of my mind's identity;
that from which I came... what I've done;
a mnemonic of the wreckage I've left behind.
